Seduced by the Brown Gooey Substance

called ChoCoLate.

have been a vanilla lover since i was a kid and with all the constant reminders from mum tt chocolate is heaty and is bad for the skin etc, i hardly touched it. is it true that choc-lovers are not fans of vanilla and vanilla lovers are not fans of chocolate? issit possible to be lovers of both? anyway, with frenz n colleagues who are adoring fans of chocolate, i've been drawn into this cocoa world.

Xin n Kes are the biggest lovers of chocolate i know. and when i see their smile plastered on their face after eating some great choco, it just amuses me. of course, it's real yummy, but i dun think i enjoyed it as much as them. i'm a big fan of desserts tho, excluding that of mousse which is too creamy for my tastebuds. but yeah, with all the choco intake recently, i think i might just believe in chocolate-therapy to perk up my day, instead of the usual desserts-therapy or shopping-therapy =]

still, i'm not the kind that can pop chocs into my mouth a few times. one a day is enough to keep me feeling jelat. so while there have been benefits of dark chocolate, the down side of it being heaty and me feeling fat, will still keep me away from this yummy delight.

psst.. i just had a few bits of chocolate banana cake from Secret Recipe bought at half price fr JB.

Slightest Tickle of Feathers

it could be the simplest of things that ignite a smile.
that small action as he gently brushes my hair across my forehead
the slight movement of his fingers on my hand even as they are linked
that quick glance my way with an upward curve of his lips
that warm hug of his as he draws me near
or just that he reaches across to hold my hand in his

Colours Meshed Together

of mainly green, blue, brown and white. the beautiful scenery that mother nature creates is always astounding. something that you will only experience when u step out of the city and into the suburbs.

really refreshing to be able to experience the free and easy travel road trip since the last one with my family was about 6 years back. and the recent few have all been tours and utilising public transport (i.e. HK and BKK) instead of the get-in-the-car and travel at leisure the hundreds of miles over land.

ugh.. and then it's kinda depressing when it's back to reality-> the sunny shores of Sg instead of the fickle-minded weather which consists of the sunny, cloudy, windy, rainy days of 17 degrees n below in WA.

I just lurrrve travelling!

Calorie-induced Days

woohoo~ last 2 weeks have been tons of eating n eating! it's a sinful but damn exciting pasttime by the way :oP.. just sampling, tasting, savouring, chatting, chilling => enjoying!

first up was 7some's long awaited reunion! haha.. not exactly a reunion but it's hard for the auditors to be free, but, WY still had to work (-_-).. anw, so off we went to Cityhall. not the best of places since my workplace in in the vicinity. but they were nice enough to suggest a place which i usually wouldnt visit during lunch hours - seafood paradise at Sg Flyer! ha.. JH and i lurrve the creamy crabs! a pity that the rest felt that the chilli crab was the better one. and so, i had my fill of crabs. next station was not an eating destination but Marina Barrage since the rest had not been there before. real nice place to just while the time away and we had fun doing jump shots! haha.. multiple shots of failed attempts so just 2 of the nicer ones below, though still not perfect. had a good laugh and after all that jumping, we just plonked on the grass. a few hours later, we made our way to ECP to grab a cup of sugar cane to quench our thirst. i miss such outings!
next up was Graze, a place which i suggested, w Kang. a bit far from home but from the webbie, it looked cozy enough with outdoor and indoor seating. the lovely experience was hindered by the bad weather which was pouring throughout the entire morning and we were waddling our way there after the car was parked. but the bad weather didnt stop ppl from eating there cos the place was half full and when we left a few hours later, it was close to full house! food was good and worth it especially if u take the brunch menu. As tea lovers, it's always nice to prolong the time by drinking flavoured teas. and on that same day, he brought me to eat BuFFet! it's really been ages since i ate a dinner buffet, been a few years now.. oh but this one @ 10 at Claymore was really worth the price. food was good and i loved the fresh king prawns and wagyu beef! ooh la la~
on a nice sunny day, the boy found another great place, at great value for great food- Braise! for the first 1 and a half hours of our meal, being the first to arrive there, it was sweet and romantic =] and after all the office ppl ended work, they streamed into the restaurant as there were 2 big gatherings tt night. we ordered this set dinner which had 4 very small portions of appetisers (but oh-so-yummy), a main and 2 desserts. the portions were nice to enough to make your stomach happy, and your tastebuds tingling cos one of the desserts was earl grey sorbet! my absolute fave ice cream of which there are very few places in Sg (or none that i know of) that offers such a delectable delight *grinz* oh! psst.. i just read some reviews of Braise, n noticed that if we hadnt had such a set meal with such variety, the damage could be close to over 100 per pax~
and now this is REAL sinful with lotsa chocolate! let's see.. choc icecream with waffles, choc crepes, choc brownie and tiramisu. ah ha~ a nice surprise with 4 candles to blow out on each dessert after lunch =] more matured talk this time round, though Adrian still has his funny views on r/s. interesting conversation/ discussion and then off to play pool! it was fun, a close fight w WL and there was lotsa encouragement going round. i think might have just improved in this game. haha..

so there you go! all the yummylicious food that is, or rather was, churning in my stomach, should have already been purged from my body. that is what i'm hoping! haha, went to the gym and tried to run but my knees were hurting and so i turned to other machines to keep my waistline (^-^) \/ i need to keep fit though my half marathon shd be off, sadly *boohoo*.. alright, off to pack cos i'm jet-setting in a few hours' time. whee~

At the Top of Our Voices

were 7 crazy girls in a room bowled over with laughter, packed with giggles and filled with melodious tunes. had a K-box session with my colleagues after work.

hardly go Karoke since i have a set at home. but of course, the atmosphere is different cos we can go really loud late into the night! and the laughter of 7 girls can be quite shrill =] i think the last time i went was more than a yr back but boy, the damage to the pocket is quite big =\ it was an enjoyable experience anyhow!
