Chill Out Nights

me with the pretty pretty cat's eyed girls. eye candy for you guys(cover my face can le)! they were supposed to do 'funny faces' other than smiling prettily for the cam, but they couldn't do it. ended up seems like i was wildest one there. heh.. but clim was really crazeee! heh.. but i super enjoyed myself tt night =] weeets!

felt tt it was a pretty nice place tho heard lotsa ppl said it was frequented by uncles. hehe.. there were the younger-than-us group, young adults and the older generation. not totally just canto pop cos there were chinese songs and while the bands weren't jamming, it was clubbing english songs which i liked =p was pretty impressed by the singers and the dances and costume changes. drank quite a bit cos the guys like Martell and are really quite mad. but, i was still sane and sober till the end though i was red.. as usual.. BAH!

@ Timbre

to support Keith from Reverie!! had talked for 3 yrs tt i'd go down to listen, cheer for him at Bala, Wala Wala etc but just nv got down to doing so. thus, decided to gather a few chill out kakis. he was nice in coming over to chit chat with the peeps to share some stories and also took an effort in remembering their names when we left! was q impressed cos some ppl just ask but don't actually remember. great to see him perform and hear his funny laughter again!

Kum's rare appearance also made talk more spicy! hehe.. Nit joined us slightly later so missed out our mini photo-taking. hmmm.. now i wanna visit the other Timbre @ The Substation since Feng says he prefers there. guess we'll do so after the students have finished their exams so tt San won't miss out to watch her webcasts! (^-^)/

then we proceeded to watch a midnight movie: Tony Leung's Lust, Caution. the R21 version. think the adults who had earlier watched the NC16 movie would feel cheated. the violent scenes were pretty disturbing but all in all, i felt the actors/actresses delivered quite a splendid performance. but, i just didn't like the ending. i dunno how i would have preferred it, but just didn't like how it ended.

tho it was pretty late after tt, our rumbling tummies got their desired supper! ahhh.. HapPinEss =]

with the dearest 7somez less Tze who was having her exams. but we'll be having a 2nd celebration again in Dec. of course, this time we'll have some crazy late night galivanting with SF included and Lian too, hopefully! *cross fingers*

of course, there's the much-needed updates on our lives. the juicy details, the ups and downs, the comfort, the encouragement and the support. a whole lot of opinions yet sometimes still left unspoken. realisation seeps in at the same time. i love our talks.

when it comes down to work, the All-U-Do-Is-Tick ppl seem like they are having a really tough time. endless deadlines to meet, continuous 24/7 work left unfinished. looking fwd to promotions doesn't seem like an option either since there's more to learn and more to do. i guess work appreciation and job satisfaction are the most impt to me. if this is not attained, i pray it works out overtime. job benefits are a tricky thing too. so much to consider, yet inertia keeps us staying put. Red Carpet Glamour

FooD Galore

Cuban food @ Cuba Libre in Clarke Quay. nice place with a good band and good food!

we felt that the service staff was breathing down our necks cos we were there since 8 till 1030 waiting for their band to start. hehe.. not too bad, but after 2 songs we had to satisfy our huge cravings of desserts! so off we trotted across the mini street to Nectarie le'Dessert Patisserie!

Catch our amazing spread of delectable desserts! *drrooooolsss* ordered strawberry shortcake, tiramisu, oreo cheesecake, red wine pear with waffle and choc cake! tt's not all! we also had earl grey tea, hazelnut latte, ice chocolate, ice vanilla and ice tea.. super SiNfuL.. whooops! and there's also my version of "Got Latte?" =]

great night out to celebrate Steph's belated bday! Off we go home.. contented *grinz*

Dead Beat

first time starting work at 7am this week and will continue till the next. gosh.. it's damn tiring.. short sleeping hours and longer working hours. of course, supposed to leave at 330pm but feel pai seh though. maybe i'll try doing so in the next few days if there's really nothing to do. otherwise, i'll wait till 6 till daddy can come pick me up =]

had a really nice dinner/ chat with JT today. tried the food in the Pizza Place @ Raffles City and it was pretty good! oh, and guess who i bumped into? KUMZZ! haha.. we were both like super amazed to see each other, and as he said, 'savour the moment' since it's like so rare tt we see each other.

haven't seen JT in a while ever since he graduated last yr but it was a nice meet up. from our work culture, to F1 racing, to rents, to clubbing, to studies, to food, to wine tasting! haha.. we covered quite a wide range of topics. interesting! oh, maybe it was obvious, but i didn't realise tt i was a 'dessert person' until he told me so, cos i was talking so happily abt desserts! he and Zo mentioned abt Robertson Quay having good desserts! someone bring me there!!! hehe.. very jovial and quite a diff person from who i thought he was back in sch. but he said he's changed cos he's feeling liberated from uni but still as smart as ever passing his level 1 CFA in just 1 try! even such a clever guy said tt it's hard, what's more me?!?! Ren! don't think i can make it le la.. *boohoo*

jeez.. now, i'm feeling dead beat! need a million winks!

have always been intrigued by the wonders of nature. since Singapore is a city, holidaying overseas has always been a chance for me to sightsee more than shop. (this excludes KL, BKK and next year's HK) really anticipating next year's family's destination.. in the meantime, shall look forward to my climbing cum shopping trip to KL happening in less than a mth's time! WhEEee~

Movie Craving

had it satisfied when J asked me out for a meal on Deepa and i requested to watch a movie too. since Ren was raving abt it so much and it changed her mood from sian to that of more enthusiasm, i reckoned it was good. J was a bit apprehensive abt watching it too since he said he doesn't really watch "the Rock's" movie, but in the end we walked out feeling happy. it's cute, heart-warming, fun-loving and silly-looking! pretty enjoyable.

then after tt we had to go shopping for gifts. hehe.. we were down on our luck cos we couldn't find anything. bah! but it was real nice to meet up and still scold him jokingly as i always do. happy travelling! whooops~ (><)

Reflections

recently have been replaying Luther Vandross' "Dance With My Father Again". this song totally awashes me with a sense of calmness. it's a sad song yet filled with warmth.

my inner emotions have been at peace, reflecting expressions of joy. there are no outbursts, no temperamental weather, no chaos within.. the presence of serenity is strong, and i'm loving this feeling. seems so long since i last felt so at peace with myself.. then i realise that the confusion, which has since dissipated, was uncalled for.

though change is most often than not constant, some things just don't change. hoping and knowing work in opposite directions. don't hope when you know the obvious won't occur. the ambiguous, however, is worth praying for.

a relationship is not built on how long you know each other, time does not matter. chemistry is everything. and in that, incorporates everything tt you need for a long lasting r/s. how one party can just simply discard their original partner for another is just simply incredulous. hearing this from frenz in my different groups just shows how common this is, sadly. is love really just a game? or is it really tt the other is 'the one'? sometimes, just don't bother finding out the answer.

to my dear friend, pls really get a grip on yourself. tt person just ain't worth it. if you don't try to let go, you will remain stationary as you are. inertia will just cause you more pain, more tears. no one is able to help you. you are your best bet, best choice, best weapon. use it and take charge. if you need us, we'll all be here.

Just over the short 2 yrs tt we've grown to know each other, it's really nice to meet you guys! other than my fellow Eastie, i hardly get to see Kumz or Shoba, but the chemistry just doesn't fade and they're still as wacky as ever anytime i bump or see them! below are pix of Nitz and i trying to squeeze into one of the guy's jackets at last yr's Sports Ball, and Kumz and i back in Krabi with the blue skies and blue water. i miss tt place! *boohoo*

*clears throat* taa-daa! here is my new pair of Adidas shoes which i've been searching for more than a yr and i've finally bought one which i totally lurrrrve. *grinz* first laid my eyes on this in Bugis, but they'd run out of sizes! i was thinking abt it the whole time after tt. and decided to try Raffles City since Nitz said it could be there, and it really was! *wooots* haha, was over the moon when i saw it =] tho, it's slightly big, but it's not too big till it aint possible cos the laces help a bit. hehe.. oh well, love the sporty youngish look *smiles widely*

i'm still a huge supporter of Team NUS so went to cheer on both the juniors and seniors! it's a fun event (especially when i'm not one of the competitors *gasps*) hehe.. but the team did well! clinched quite a few of the top spots! wheeee~ our batch of girls.. super lurrve hanging out with them!

Nitz and i wore similar stuff tt day. black racer top with greyish-like jeans. acting hip and cool.. teehee..

Charl, the small but super strong girl. and San, the one who amazes all the time, looks like she's looking for a partner to dance! =p haha.. don't scold me! and Ed being oblivious..

now just occupying ourselves waiting for all the action to start! the walls are just superbly beautiful! damn niceeee!

and after all the hard work.. the climbers tuck in into a hearty meal @ Paulaners! yummy-licious! ppl were asking me not eat salad, but seriously, it was toooo meaty, tt without any veggie, i don't think i could take in all those meat! with pork knuckle, ox-tail, bratwurst sausages, pies etc etc. it was uber sinful!

Got Beer?

Even more sinful delightful desserts! *slurpsss* blueberry cheesecake, bread and pudding, tiramisu, choc fondue, apple strudel, ice cream!!! the only healthy food? fruits!

After all that food, we played some games and i was forced to eat a whole chunk of cream! *screams* need lotsa lotsa runninggg! Nitz, motivate me! =] the ultraman pose, for Adrian who was missing in action! w/o your arms, use your fingers, and you get E.T. instead.

supposed to be over a 1000 bucks. but we were lucky cos JW had Amex card and we got 15 % off! *whew* good for us!

after the sinful damage, there is a need for digestion! so off we went shopping! but it was too stressful walking with a buncha ppl so i didn't buy anything. we ended up playing arcade and pool!

and the weekend tt just passed, we went down to support Nitz @ the Subaru Challenge! she didn't win the car, if not u'd be seeing her hand still on no. 219. what an awkward position there!? unfair lo! next year we'll both try our luck again shall we? *winks*

and so after tt, the sweeties went shopping with me! whee~ happy-ness! the reap! *beams*

next up was yummy yummy home-cooked food @ my Grandma's place. my aunt was so nice to heat up all the food (chicken curry, fishcake, fried fish, pork, mixed vege) and the soup to ensure i had a good dinner. so swwweeet! mummy was shocked tt i ate so much.. ooopps! don't worry mummy dearest, i'll run run run! hehe.. i just did so today. wasn't very long but still shiok! get well dear Nitz to accompany me! *gulp gulp* drink more water =]
