had a smashing weekend 2 thursdays ago. first long weekend (only 3 days) ever in the working world that made me really dread working on mon. met up with lotsa great people, had great food, and of course a great time! Woots~
Fri Sat and Sun was a line up of a flurry of activities that of which i was predominantly preoccupied with NUS Climbing's big annual event, Boulderactive: Rated X. Since last year a few of us took ugly pix of ourselves, this year i gathered more pix. i believe the girls won hands down for being able to distort our faces to look really 'ugly', of which i thought was really cool!

being a dino (alumni) of the team and havent been actively climbing, i guess i didnt quite fit into the whole scene.. of course knowing almost all of the ppl there was really great, cos most of the time i was catching up with ol' frenz and talking abt lotsa stuff, but hmmm.. somehow it didnt feel quite right.. the few times that i actually helped out was when i helped to put up the tiles, take 'attendence' for dinner, take photos. kinda redundant. and a stark contrast in comparison to last year when i helped to route judge, spot climbers, brush tiles, be a part of the F1 team etc etc. the only similarity was my continuous cheers of support for fellow NUS climbers.
i guess this is how it goes when those fade away from the scene. of course, nevertheless, i still felt that bonding of unity, determination and warmth of the team. but perhaps i wasn't actually part of the team, that feeling just wasn't as strong.. it was just different.
