2007: A Year of Surprises, A Chapter of Evolution, A Time to Grow Up

this is the year of..
topsy turvy, upside down, crazy hazy happenings.
lessons learnt, lessons forgotten, lessons tossed away.
tears shed, heart bled, smiles fled.
discarding the unwanted, keeping the memories, treasuring the present.
in search of happiness, to find a belief, digging the depths for strength.
being strong, moving on, the wait is long.

the year started out confusing.. transformed to joy.. then to frustration.. changed to alleviation.. evolved to blissful.. heightened to surprise.. descended to complication.. deteriorated to dissapointing.. lowered to disbelief.. crescended to relief.. and is now balanced on: i'm ok, everything's ok, at least i hope it is.

i had lotsa things to say, but suddenly everything is just coming out too briefly.. don't feel like blabbering too much.. alrighty, some flashbacks of 2007 then. Happy stuff =]

Fave Trip: Has got to be going to M'sia with the great frenz that i've made in climbing! oops.. Feng was off searching for routes when we took this photo. Made 4 overseas trips this year: Taiwan with SF and gang, M'sia with below peeps, Bintan with frenz, and KL with NUS team (or rather a much smaller version). won't have the luxury next year.. *boo hoo*

Fave Surprise: my bday celebration! it was jaw-dropping seeing so many ppl there whom for a split second, thought it was coincidental. really, thoroughly enjoyed it! having left the team and handed over the reigns of vice-cap to San, it was truly a wonderful experience in the climbing team that has left me with a whole lot of memories and friendship to last a lifetime =] a dismal performance in my last year was indeed depressing, but really glad and appreciative to those who encouraged and supported me throughout. ThAnkS guys!

Fave Get-together: has gotta be with my primary school frenz. saw each other for the first time after 9 years last year, and we met up again this yr, our tenth year since leaving pri sch and i've known some of them since i was 6 years of age! PY instead of K2 in those times =] and the number of ppl coming together to talk, joke and laugh was simply incredible!

Fave Turning Point: plunging into the working world after graduation was indeed a daunting experience, not knowing what to expect. but really fortunately, i am enjoying this new experience. having really helpful and patient colleagues, nice bosses, chilling out together with them and making frenz from other departments is like a bonus to me in comparison, as i've heard other frenz talk abt their horrifying work life.

other than the happy stuff i've mentioned above, there's also the down side.. won't elaborate much on them since only close frenz will know.. i seek to find health and happiness in 2008, wish for health and happiness to my loved ones. for the one thing tt has eluded me all this while, i hope to make the correct decisions.
