On Everest

seriously, i dunno who visits here anymore. dun think anyone does. but after sometime, i finally had the feeling to blog a bit.

amazing, the women's team reached Mt Everest. like HELLO, EVEREST! gosh.. seriously, that's an amazing feat and i applaud them. having only climbed one mountain ever, and that is through hiking the different terrains, i'd say that was something i thought i couldnt achieve. and now, they completed it, reached the peak and are safe. how cool is that?

it's so far 3 of them who have been on top of the world, not sure if the other 3 can make it, but still, their 5 years of training? it's just truly commendable. how Claud goes for her climbing trips time and again, is also something i'm still in awe of. pure coolness!

i'd have liked to have gone for the ice-climbing trip Kum and Nitz went to, but i guess my loved ones would not have given me the nod of approval. understand how they'd feel thinking it's a dangerous sport, but yeah, even i was abit apprehensive. but hearing from Kum and Nitz, didn't sound like they were in any danger at all! ha.. and Kum is off to Nepal soon to conquer yet another mountain. good stuff!

i think the next mountain i'd climb would be Mt Kinabalu. heh.. aint really much of a big achievement but still an experience anyway. have gotten my boy to agree to go climbing w me. hope he gets hooked onto the outdoor experience =] not sure when this will happen, but w my outdoor gear freshly purchased from last year, i hope it's not just gone to waste with just one trip =\
